I’m a fan of Hunch.com. It can be kind of addictive. Hunch asks you a bunch of questions about a problem you may have and suggests a solution. For me, it’s fonts. When I was designing websites for class or myself, I ask Hunch what to use. I’m not a big design guy, so it’s nice to get a concrete answer according to what I think I want. It’s a nice recommendation engine.
I could make a tie between hunch and reference and reader’s advisory and how it’s commodifying and crowdsourcing what librarians have been doing for years. Instead, I’ll just say that Hunch is cool.
